This summer, the 3A Snake River Valley conference requested to start playoff games in the ninth week of the season. In exchange, the SRV voted to accept a proposal from the Intermountain League to play the first round of State at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow. According to Paul Kingsbury of prep website Idahosports.com, Fruitland coach Bruch Schlaich voted against the proposal but was out-voted.
