MHProNews has learned from the Alabaster Reporter in Alabaster, Alabama, just south of Birmingham, AL State Sen. Cam Ward wants to pass legislation establishing uniform regulations dealing with the manufactured housing industry. Presiding over the Uniform Law Conference, Ward says manufactured housing is produced in one state and often transported to another. He says, ?I know our friends in the manufactured housing industry would be happy to only deal with one set of rules, and not have to hassle with 50 differing sets of legislation.? Established in 1892, the Conference has produced over 300 acts dealing with interstate enforcement of judgments, commercial law, domestic relations law, real estate, probate, and alternate dispute resolution.
