8 yrs, 16.2h. $1000 Zoey arrived to us in the fall of 2011 as a neglect case out of Washington County. She made a very smooth recovery and is now ready for her new home. Zoey does well in a stall, is good with other horses, and is currently best suited for an intermediate handler. She is good for the vet, is barefoot, and has no vices. We recently evaluated under saddle and found her to be very queit. She has a big stride and should finish nicely. She currently requires an intermediate rider at this time to help her continue to progress in her training, but with more miles she could easily be suitable for a beginner. Zoey's unlimited potential, size, and beauty should make her a great horse for any discipline Days End Farm Horse Rescue does not sell horses. We do ask for an adoption donation to help defray the costs of rehabilitating future horses. We adopt to the entire State of Maryland and 100 miles from Days End Farm into the states of VA, DE, PA. We do not have the funds or manpower to do this properly in other areas. Save Our Seniors (SOS horses). Save an "unwanted" horse, spend time with an equine friend AND get a tax write-off - that's the benefit of our SOS program! The SOS campaign helps fund Days End horses that are limited in their riding capabilities. They may be blind, disabled, arthritic or have special medication or feeding requirements. These horses make wonderful companion animals, for other horses, farm animals, pets and people! You are required to take the horse to your own facility for ongoing care. SOS Assisted Living Program. You provide all necessary food, shelter, medications, medical care, hoof treatment, etc., at your facility. You submit a list of all expenses and receipts related to the care of the horse to Days End each month and you receive a donation letter for your tax-deductible expenses.
