London Day 1: Tower Bridge

Ben wanted to give me a glimpse of the iconic London attractions on the first day.

After the Tower of London, Ben brought me to see the Tower Bridge. When I was young, the image of the bridge in the song ?London Bridge is Falling Down? was the image of the Tower Bridge. Now I knew that London Bridge is another bridge which is a much plain looking bridge.

A boat passing under the Tower Bridge.

It was a cold and windy evening with a light drizzle. You can see from the photos that the sky was grey.

Walking across the Tower Bridge.

View of The Shard from the Tower Bridge. The Shard is a 72-storey skyscraper in London.

The decorative span of the Tower Bridge.

A close up view of the tower.

A photo to prove that I had been there.

After crossing the Tower Bridge, we explored the vicinity area.

London?s City Hall, located on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge. It is known as ?The Glass Gonad? for its elliptical shape.

We caught the view of the draw bridge being raised for taller vessel to pass through the Tower Bridge.

A dusk view of the of Southwark bank of the River Thames.

We had an Indian buffet dinner before we headed back to the Sheraton Skyline. The buffet was 6.95 pounds per person. There are more than 20 items in the buffet which include chicken tikka masala, lamb, chicken, liver and fish curries, tandoori chicken, chicken korma, biryani rice, pakora, papadam, kheer, etc. Good value for money.
