Position Description:

Exam written prescriptions, Determine specification of lenses. Recommend frame, lenses and lense coatings after considering the prescription and the customers needs. Prepare work orders, and information that is needed to grind lenses at our lab facilities. Knowledge of pre-testing equipment. Knowledge of insurance programs. Basic computer knowledge. As well as other administrative duties.

Positions in this function support the vision operations (retail vision stores, production lab) of the business. Only employees who are represented by a Union should be in this function.

Customer service oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1 year of Customer Service Experience
• Basic PC Proficiency

Assets:

• Experience working in an Optical Store
• Certified Optician (ABO/NCLE certification)
• Experience as an Optician
